WHAT I DO

WHAT I DO

I make your…
words better, concept sharper, life easier.

EDITORIAL

Edit, edit, and edit some more.

Consider me your pen for hire.

As a former editor at Marie Claire, Shape, and Us Weekly, I’ve produced and edited hundreds of articles: cover stories; essays; news features; celebrity profiles; interviews; reviews; lifestyle packages; recipes; wellness content; and beauty and fashion stories. I excel at voice and narrative logic—I’ll help you push your concept and make your copy sparkle.

Write, write, and write some more.

Did I mention I write, too?

As a journalist, critic, and essayist, my work has appeared in or on The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Men’s Health, Vulture.com, MentalFloss.com, Redbook.com, and plenty more. I’ve also ghostwritten nonfiction book proposals (batting .1000!) and, for one glorious year, penned Marie Claire’s horoscope column under the name Luna C.

BRANDS &

BUSINESSES

Connect, connect—only connect!

Isn’t it nice to have a secret weapon? The companies I’ve worked with sure think so.

Since 2015, I’ve been taking allllllll those editorial skills I developed and applying them to brands, businesses, and institutions. I’m a whiz at ideas (specifically, the having of them), voice, branded content, storytelling, marrying words with design, brainstorming creative campaigns, delighting customers, and building loyalty. My toolbox is deep.

Some of my clients

I play very well with others.

One of the fundamental skills of being an editor is understanding new topics quickly, distilling the information, then presenting materials to a lay audience in an informative and entertaining way—a way that leaves them wanting more. That’s what I do for my clients, who run the gamut from hedge funds to political candidates to cosmetic manufacturers and beauty brands. I’ve worked with and on campaigns for Bridgewater Associates, Follain, Intercos Group, Move.com, NYC Department of Education, Parkside Group, Tend, TreStique, Verizon, and Walmart, to name a few. I was also the in-house Creative Brand Director at Uncommon Goods, setting the look and feel of a very cool brand with a very talented crew.

  • It’s an art as much as a science. Let me be the bridge between your brand guidelines and your content.

  • The best catalogs should feel like a magazine. Lucky for you, I happen to be very good at setting those up.

  • Typos? Awkward constructions? Incorrect grammar? Not today, Satan.

  • Your hunch is correct—it’s not all equal. (Ours will be better.)

  • Branded franchises, subject lines that actually get opened, content marketing, customer retention series, increasing that CTR—let’s do it all.

  • Yes, your site’s copy could be better. Don’t fret, I’ll show you how.
