Kelly Marages is a writer and editor based in New York City. She has worked in magazine publishing for more than a decade, most recently as Deputy Editor of Us Weekly. Prior to Us, she served as an editor at Marie Claire and Shape magazines.
Currently freelancing, Kelly writes regularly for a variety of publications. She's been published in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Marie Claire, Men's Health, Vulture.com, MentalFloss.com, and various other websites and magazines. She's also a ghostwriter, whose latest nonfiction proposal sold to Harper Wave, and a copywriter with clients in the financial, retail, and beauty industries.
Kelly received an MFA from Bennington College in 2015. Her fiction has been published or is forthcoming in Bridge Eight, Coda Quarterly, Crack the Spine, and Selfish. Her story "Planes" placed second in the 2016 Harper's Ferry Review Flash Fiction contest judged by Tara Ison, and appears in the journal's Fall 2016 edition.
